For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
As Christians that question should be fairly obvious, right? Unfortunately it has become more and more difficult to believers due to the fact that the teachings of the established church have changed. How? You might ask, well let me explain. let's take a look at Christian T V for example. If you would take one week and study all the Christian T V broadcasts available to you ,you just might begin to detect 1 common theme that permeates their dogma and that is MONEY, WEALTH, the gathering of material goods and how do we get God to bestow upon us all this wealth, fame and fortune? It's simple! You just give to God through them ! See I told you it was simple. They get all the money, they will watch over it for God, they will know what to do with it. Don't you know the best way to witness, is to show people you have all the world's toys, and the bells and whistles to go along with it?After all, don't you realize that we are Kings kids? We deserve all that the King has.So if you want what we have continue to do as I say and we will intercede for you and if you are worthy, maybe you will get a blessing from God. Well that's about as far from the gospel truth as it gets. The church has turned our blessed Lord and Savior into a spiritual ATM machine with unlimited access. Is it no longer profitable to preach salvation, repentance, deliverance and living a spirit led life? I believe we have desecrated the Churches by allowing book stores, coffee shops, pot luck dinners and yes even bowling alleys and movie theaters in the place where God calls holy ground and a place of prayer and worship. In Matthew 21:12[ Jesus Cleanses the Temple ] Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. In Matthew 21:13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves." Do I have to say anymore? The word speaks for it's self. Just because we live in 2011 does not change the Word of God, it remains the same yesterday, today and forevermore.Listen Christians you don't have to pay God for a healing miracle or a blessing. All you have-to do is have faith in God Believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Because in prayer you have direct access to the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord.
